We’re Cruising for Autism Acceptance in Auburn!
Join us in Auburn—the historic home of Indiana automotive icons like Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg—for a day dedicated to cars, disability resources, and autism acceptance! Cruising for Acceptance brings together vehicle enthusiasts of all types and community advocates to raise support and awareness for Hoosier autistics and their families. Cruising for Acceptance combines the passion of automobile culture with autism advocacy, bringing together drivers, families, and community supporters for a scenic group cruise and inclusive car show.
Cruise-In: Show off your ride or stroll through a display of unique automobiles and various modes of transportation - your ride can have 2 wheels, 4 wheels or even more! You will get a My Autism Ally Cruising for Acceptance dash plaque for your participation.
Vendor Fair: Get valuable information for your loved on from local disability organizations.
Sensory Calming Space: My Autism Ally will host an on-site, staffed Sensory Calming Space throughout the event to give families a safe, comfortable spot to reset.
Acceptance Drive-Through Auburn: The highlight of the day! Join our organized vehicle processional rolling through historic downtown Auburn. Decorate your vehicle with creative displays to spread autism acceptance throughout the community, while being mindful of how speed and weather could affect your safety and others. We will observe posted speed limits and follow all traffic rules.
Schedule of Events
Noon - 12:30pm : Cruise In and Vendor Fair Lineup
1:00pm – 3:00pm Cruise In & Vendor Fair is open to the public.
1:00pm - 3:00pm - Decoration Station is open! Instead of decorating your car prior to the event, volunteers will decorate your windows with washable liquid chalk markers for a donation to My Autism Ally.
3:15pm - Cruising for Awareness Drive through Auburn leaves the Auburn Cord Duesenberg plaza. Route map will be coming soon!
